In November of 2021, after 10+ years of collaboration, we saw an opportunity to leverage our areas of expertise and form a partnership that would provide our clients with an exceptional end-to-end experience. Together, we formed Bloom Builders, a signifier of beauty and the growth our new company is set to experience.

Bloom Builders is a San Francisco based general contracting firm, specializing in high-end remodel and new construction homes in the Bay Area. We build structures to last by adopting the latest in building science and technology to ensure the buildings stand up to the elements and the test of time. We want our homes to integrate into their environment and believe in implementing green building technologies whenever possible. We are also admirers of great architecture and see the best in well thought out spaces and executed details. We strive to bring those principles into each and every project we work on.

THE TEAM

JOHN SANGIACOMO

John is the co-founder and CEO at Bloom. He is a licensed general contractor in the state of California, who specializes in residential design and build. After graduating from the University of San Francisco, he began his career in public accounting with KPMG and obtained his Certified Public Accountant license. He spun his job in public accounting into a finance role at a real estate investment firm, specializing in the acquisition and repositioning of multi-family communities. His love of architecture and design, as well as a curiosity for how things are built lead him to pursue a career in construction. His finance and accounting background have proved invaluable, ensuring bids and proposals are accurate and actual costs are at or below budget.

SVI PETERS

Svi is the co-founder and President of Bloom Builders. He oversees all the operations in the field. He began working in the trades more than 25 years ago, as a skilled laborer working for a high-end residential construction company. After displaying strong leadership abilities and knowledge of building, he was promoted to the position of project foreman, offering superior management for said company over many years. When the time was right, Svi started his own general contracting firm, which he ran successfully for the last 10 years built entirely on referral-based business. He focuses on delivering projects on time and to an exacting standard. From his many years of experience, Svi has garnered a solid network of local quality, sub-contractors, architects, engineers and real estate agents, and has become adept in navigating the many obstacles that are present when building within the city limits.

WHITNEY SANGIACOMO

Whitney is a Senior Designer at Bloom. Graduating from Santa Clara University in 2008 with a degree in Communications, she began her career in public relations. With a natural talent for interior design and decorating, Whitney decided to enhance her skills through the Interior Design Certification program through UC Berkeley. After successful completion of the program, she joined Hannah Collins Design (now ROY Hospitality) working on both residential and hospitality design projects. She gained invaluable skills and got to work on exciting restaurant projects throughout San Francisco. She brings a fresh and clean aesthetic to all projects at Bloom.
